FAMES Technical Session at “Chips from the North – Technical Chips JU Pilot Lines”

23–24 March 2026 | Helsinki, Finland

FAMES will take part in Chips from the North – Technical Chips JU Pilot Lines, a two-day event organized by VTT in partnership with Business Finland, FiCCC and Tampere University, under the framework of the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU).

The event will provide participants with an in-depth look at the structure, capabilities, and access modalities of the Chips JU pilot lines. Attendees will be able to explore cutting edge semiconductor infrastructures, engage in technical discussions, and connect with key stakeholders from across Europe. The programme will feature several major pilot line initiatives, including FAMES, APECS, NanoIC, PIXEurope, and WBG, offering a comprehensive overview of available platforms and collaboration opportunities.

In this context, FAMES will host a dedicated Technical Session to present its technological achievements and open access opportunities.

This session will highlight the technological breakthroughs achieved after two years of FAMES, the progress of the 10 nm FD SOI pathfinding platform, advances in embedded memories, RF and acoustic components, magnetics on silicon, and the growing role of the FAMES Academy. It will also provide practical guidance on how researchers and companies can access the FAMES Pilot Line through its open access mechanisms.
